Escape Campervans Tips

Book in Advance

Be sure to make your reservation well in advance, especially during peak times of the year.

Get the Cooking Gear

Always opt to get the cooking gear and pillow + sheet set. They are a total game changer and truly enhance the trip! While you’re picking up your campervan, also ask if there are any leftover propane canisters for cooking – typically people leave them behind and the staff has been nice enough to lend us them in the past.

Book the Right Car Type and Size

Depending on your height, some vans might not be able to sleep up to the number they have on the site. The pop-up tent on the top is advertised to fit two people, but if you’re 6 feet tall and over, you will likely only be able to fit one person comfortably.

Escape Campervan Rental Details

Escape Campervans offers a variety of campervan models to suit different types of travelers. From the Mavrick to the spacious Big Sur Camper, there are options for everyone. One of the things that Escape Campervans are known for are their unique designs. Each campervan is custom painted by local artists, which we loved and is a great differentiator for the company.

The company prides itself on providing excellent customer service. From the moment you make your reservation to the end of your trip, you can count on Escape Campervans to be there to help you every step of the way. We ended up having a few questions during the reservation process and our car had a small issue in the middle of a trip, but their customer service was there every step of the way.

One of the most important things – Escape Campervans offers (in our opinion) affordable prices, which makes campervan travel accessible to more people. Considering you don’t need to rent a hotel or have other lodging expenses, we feel like this was a worthwhile expense to share with your travel mates.

When you rent an Escape Campervan, youÔÇÖll have everything you need for your adventure. Here are just a few of the features that can come with the campervan:

  • Bed and Bedding
    • Every campervan has a comfortable bed that can accommodate two people that can also be folded up and have space for a table for dual purpose. Some models can add a rooftop tent that can sleep additional travelers at an extra cost

Drop-Off Details

The drop-off procedure is very easy and only took us about 5-10 minutes. Make sure to fill up the gas tank before you drop it off! There is a gas station only a few minutes before you get to the rental office, which is super convenient. When dropping the car off, all you need to do is pull up, unload the car and hand over the keys for them to do an inspection of the car to make sure there’s no damage.

After they look over the car and everything looks good, you’ll get a receipt and you’re good to go. You can easily get an Uber or Lyft from any Escape Campervan location to get back to the airport and head out after a long trip!
